This book contains details of guidelines, scheme and programmes run by the Ministry of
Minority Affairs for welfare of minority communities in India. The Constitution of India
provides a number of safeguards to the minorities of India, and despite its well-intentioned
interventions, a large majority of minorities are lagging behind in social, economic and
educational front. The objective of this compilation of Schemes of the Ministry of Minority
Affairs is to empower minorities to make use of the opportunities available and offered by
the Government of India through the Ministry so that every institution can make use of
these opportunities to the maximum.
